What Is Cantarelli?

Cantarelli is an award winning mixed entertainment choir from Tampere, Finland.

Cantarelli was founded in 1996. The choir consists of nearly 50 skilled singers and performs a wide, varied repertoire of music from ballads to Finnish rock. Cantarelli has won several top festival awards in national choir festivals including a nomination for the best entertainment choir in Finland 1997. Cantarelli has always received special honours for solid performance with entertaining style. The first five years Cantarelli was conducted by Mr. Mika Siekkinen.

Tailored party appearances and concerts

Today Cantarelli is conducted by Ms. Tuija Kallonen, better known as Gilda, a qualified jazz singer and pianist. The choir members offer tailored party appearances and concerts in small music groups supported by soloists and speaking performers.

Cantarelli has given several self produced concerts that have sold out the concert halls in the Tampere region. In addition to the concerts, Cantarelli has recorded and produced three CD albums. Third collection was released in June 2003. It features pop music, ballads and Finnish rock from evergreens to recent hits.
